The film Keep the Border Patrol On the Border features Washington residents across political, social and economic divides who are speaking out against the Border Patrol presence in their area. Included are interviews with a city mayor, a police chief, a sheriff, a newspaper publisher, farmers, a Catholic priest, a Native American as well as Border Patrol agents, a local attorney & an ACLU legislative director. Residents say that the Border Patrol/Homeland Security's intrusion, up to 100 miles inside our nation's borders, is a misuse of tax dollars, violates our civil liberties and creates a climate of fear in our communities. Border Patrol Public Forum

Watch the Border Patrol Public Forum that inspired this network. On November 3, 2008, four hundred concerned citizens attended a 2-hour informational forum about Homeland Security’s rapidly expanding presence on the Olympic Peninsula. The packed house listened to presentations by Border Patrol agents, Jefferson County Sheriff Mike Brasfield, Port Townsend Police Chief Conner Daily, Attorney Ann Benson of the WA Defender Association’s Immigration Project, and ACLU Legislative Director Shankar Narayan. Following the presentations is an audience Q&A. The Forum was co-sponsored by the City of Port Townsend, The Leader, League of Women Voters, AAUW, ACLU Jefferson County, and Port Townsend Peace Movement.
