Sometime during the week ending April 4, 2009
John Collins followed the BP when they were patrolling in his neighborhood off Cook Street. He followed them up and down several streets and then down past Blue Heron MS where they made a U-turn in front of a police car, and he also did. They stopped to talk to the police and then the police talked to John. They told him that the BP felt "threatened" by John following them. John stuck to it and said he had every right to observe their behavior and that he was a public servant and expected the public to observe him as well. He had done nothing against the law. He hung out while they all talked about him. Finally he asked if he was being detained and they said "no" so he then drove away.
